We tried a “Top Ten Storage Vendor Blogs” back in July with some questionable results based on how we set up security for the poll. When we tweaked the security for the Top Storage Blogs (Non-Vendor) the feedback was much more positive. So… we are giving this another try BUT…

The question is very simple: are you going to be dragged by the business people in your organization to introduce SaaS solutions into your IT management environment, or are you going to lead your organization to it?

I was talking to a co-worker about vendor lock-in and what is the easiest way to ditch one vendor in favor of another.

I’m a Linux technician by heart but I have now worked as a storage administrator for a couple of years. This blog is where I will post some snapshots of what I do at work. Most likely I won’t post often. And since I feel I’m a rookie in this profession, I won’t post any smart conclusions or ideas or tips.

Today I will be connecting our newly bought EMC CLARiiON CX4-480, fully equipped with 1TB SATA disks. We installed the other one this week on our secondary site. They will host our primary online media for our media management and production system and replica of the same data on our secondary site
