When HP announced its almost $14Billion EDS acquisition back in 2008, Nicholas Carr and others wrote about how HP needed an IT outsourcing services business to keep up with IBM .&#160;&#160; Others, such as Om Malik, suggested the move was designed to bring HP into the XSP/cloud computing age .&#160; Both camps were probably correct. ]]></description>
